Frim

Frim is a chat client much like LINE or Telegram that lets you send and receive messages with friends on your computer. To register for the service you will, however, need a valid phone number. Even though it lets you talk to all your friends in real time and exchange images with them, this is definitely not all it does. In fact, one of the most interesting things about Frim is that with it you can meet new people who are close to your location. All you have to do is take a look at the corresponding tab and see all the other users' 'shout-outs'.

Users can answer these shout-outs by sending a text message or emoji. As usual in these kinds of apps, Frim comes loaded with emojis and stickers you can use in your conversations. And what better icebreaker is there than a cute koala surfing? Nothing, nothing beats that.

Frim is an interesting chat tool, especially for one reason in particular: it's present on practically all operating systems for mobile devices as well as Windows. In other words, you can start a conversation on Windows, and finish it on any Android or iOS device.
